FAMILY & PRIVATE LIFE APPLICATIONS
Spouse/Partner Visas (Entry Clearance & FLR)
For partners of British citizens or settled persons who wish to enter or remain in the UK. This visa allows couples to live together and build their family life. Applicants must show a genuine relationship, meet the financial requirement, and provide suitable accommodation evidence. English language requirements also apply. This route leads to settlement after five years.
Fiancé(e) Visas
For individuals who intend to marry or enter a civil partnership with a British or settled partner in the UK. This visa allows a six‑month stay to get married but does not permit work. Applicants must show a genuine relationship, intention to marry, and meet financial and accommodation requirements. After marriage, they may switch to a spouse visa from inside the UK.
Parent of a British/Settled Child
For parents who have responsibility for, or direct access to, a British or settled child. This route allows the parent to live in the UK to maintain a meaningful role in the child’s life. Applicants must show active involvement in the child’s upbringing and demonstrate that the child’s best interests require their presence. This route can lead to settlement.
Adult Dependent Relative (ADR) – Advice Only
For elderly or seriously ill relatives who require long‑term personal care that can only be provided by family in the UK. This category is extremely restrictive and requires extensive medical and dependency evidence. We provide eligibility advice only, not full representation. Applicants must show they cannot receive the required care in their home country.
Private Life Applications
For individuals who have built their life in the UK over many years. This includes children who have lived in the UK for seven years, young adults aged 18–24 who have lived half their life here, and adults with long residence under the private life rules. Applicants must show strong ties to the UK and limited ties elsewhere. This route can lead to settlement after 10 years.
VISIT VISAS
Standard Visitor Visa
For people visiting the UK for tourism, family visits, short courses, or general activities. This visa allows stays of up to six months. Applicants must show they will leave the UK at the end of their visit and can support themselves financially. Evidence of ties to their home country is essential.
Business Visitor
For individuals visiting the UK for permitted business activities such as attending meetings, conferences, or negotiations. This visa does not allow paid work or employment in the UK. Applicants must show they are employed overseas and will return after their visit. Clear evidence of the business purpose is required.
Tourism, Family Visits, Medical Visits
For visitors coming to the UK for holidays, to see family, or to receive private medical treatment. Applicants must show they can fund their stay and will leave at the end of their visit. Medical visitors must provide treatment plans and financial evidence. This visa is typically granted for up to six months.
Permitted Paid Engagement (PPE)
For professionals invited to the UK for a short‑term paid engagement, such as artists, academics, or sportspeople. This visa allows a stay of up to one month. Applicants must show a formal invitation from a UK organisation and evidence of their professional standing. No other work is permitted.
EU SETTLEMENT SCHEME (EUSS)
EUSS Family Permit
For non‑EU family members of EU citizens who were living in the UK by 31 December 2020. This permit allows entry to the UK to join their family member. Applicants must prove the family relationship and the EU citizen’s residence in the UK. It is free of charge and leads to pre‑settled or settled status applications.
EUSS Pre‑Settled to Settled Status
For individuals who already hold pre‑settled status and have completed five years’ continuous residence. This application grants permanent residence rights in the UK. Applicants must show they have maintained residence and not been absent for long periods. No fee is required.
Joining Family Member Applications
For family members of EU citizens who have moved to the UK after 31 December 2020 under permitted joining rules. Applicants must show the relationship existed before the cut‑off date (unless exempt). This route allows entry and residence under the EUSS. It leads to pre‑settled or settled status.
NATIONALITY & CITIZENSHIP
Naturalisation as a British Citizen
For adults who wish to become British citizens after meeting residence and good character requirements. Applicants must show lawful residence, English language ability, and pass the Life in the UK Test. They must also meet strict absence limits. Successful applicants gain full citizenship rights, including a British passport.
Registration of a Child as a British Citizen
For children who qualify for British citizenship through birth, residence, or parental status. This is a rights‑based application, meaning children may be entitled automatically. Parents must provide evidence of the child’s residence and family circumstances. Registration grants full citizenship.
Right of Abode Applications
For individuals who have the right to live and work in the UK without immigration restrictions. This includes certain Commonwealth citizens and people with UK‑born mothers. Applicants must prove their entitlement through birth or family history. Successful applicants receive a Certificate of Entitlement.
WORK & STUDY ROUTES
Skilled Worker – Document Checking Only
For applicants who already have a valid Certificate of Sponsorship and confirmed salary. We provide document checking and application submission only. We do not advise on SOC codes, salary thresholds, or sponsor licence matters.
Graduate Route
For international students who have completed an eligible UK degree. This visa allows up to two or three years of unrestricted work in the UK. Applicants must hold valid Student permission at the time of application. No sponsorship is required.
Student Route (Including Dependants)
For individuals coming to the UK to study at an approved institution. Applicants must show an offer of study, financial evidence, and English language ability. Dependants may be eligible depending on the course. This route can lead to the Graduate visa.
UK Ancestry Visa
For Commonwealth citizens with a UK‑born grandparent. This visa allows work and residence in the UK for five years. Applicants must show they can work and support themselves. It leads to settlement.
High Potential Individual (HPI)
For graduates of top global universities. This visa allows two or three years of work without sponsorship. Applicants must show their degree meets the eligibility list. It is a flexible route for skilled individuals.
Youth Mobility Scheme
For young people aged 18–30 (or 18–35 for some countries) who want to live and work in the UK for up to two years. No sponsorship is required. Applicants must meet nationality and financial requirements. This route does not lead to settlement.
STATUS & DOCUMENTATION
Biometric residence permits (BRPs)
Biometric residence permits (BRPs) are cards that were used to prove immigration status. You might have a BRP if you were granted permission to live or work in the UK on or before 31 October 2024.
All BRPs have now expired and have been replaced by eVisas. An eVisa is a digital record of your identity and immigration status. You must report any changes in your circumstances if you’re in the UK and have a biometric residence permit (BRP), even if it has expired. How you do this depends on whether you have an eVisa or not.
No Time Limit (NTL) Applications
For individuals with indefinite leave who need confirmation on a BRP. This application transfers ILR from an old passport or paper document. Applicants must prove their ILR status and identity. It provides a modern, secure status document.
Transfer of Conditions (TOC)
For individuals who still have valid leave but need it moved to a new passport or BRP/eVisa. This applies when the old document is expired, lost, or damaged. Applicants must show their existing leave and identity. It does not grant new leave—only transfers existing conditions.
Certificate of Entitlement to the Right of Abode
For individuals entitled to live in the UK without immigration restrictions. Applicants must prove their claim through birth or family history. The certificate is placed in a passport. It confirms unrestricted entry and residence.
Updating Personal Details with the Home Office
For individuals who need to update their name, nationality, gender, or other biographical details. Applicants must provide evidence of the change, such as a deed poll or new passport. This ensures their immigration record remains accurate. Updates may require biometric enrolment.
SETTLEMENT VISAS
Indefinite Leave to Enter (ILE)
For applicants applying from outside the UK who qualify for permanent residence immediately. This includes certain family members and returning residents. Applicants must meet strict eligibility and suitability requirements. ILE grants permanent status upon arrival.
Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR)
For individuals who have completed a qualifying period of residence in the UK. Applicants must meet continuous residence rules, English language requirements, and pass the Life in the UK Test. ILR removes time limits and allows long‑term residence. It is the final step before citizenship.
